RISE - AMA (ask me anything) Webinar

Hi folks, I set up a webinar next Thursday the 20th of February introducing the upcoming RISE Training Programme.

In this hour together I want to give you an understanding of:

  • The RISE Training Programme: what is RISE? Is it free? Is it for me?

  • The six training modules: what am I going to learn from the RISE programme?

  • Logistics and commitments: when does the RISE programme start? Which locations? What is the commitment required in taking the course?

The RISE Programme is your chance to join a new social enterprise learning community about using design for creating social impact.

We ran an event earlier on this week, in Third Space, Smithfield, but I want to reach out to those of you that couldn't make it.

Not sure how many of you are familiar with webinars, but let me say that is a very enjoyable opportunity to share questions and learn about a topic.

To make this first event more productive, I'd love if you can post in the comment field below any question you might have about the RISE training programme and I will start the webinar from there.

Absolutely Aisling! Peer based learning is essential for entrepreneurship and even more for social driven enterprises.

Thanks for your detailed reply Stefano. That sounds great and the peer based learning model seems very suited to social enterprise too.

Hi Aisling, it was my pleasure meeting you last week, and I love your enthusiasm about the programme, it will be fun :)

Sure, the EDGE programme is project based, meaning all the participants will start from an existing idea, as broad as it can be, and looking at it from a broad (Divergent) and then from a narrow (Convergent) perspective.

Before starting with the design process though, we will spend time to appreciate the mindset of the designer, how to look/perceive the world and how to think about it.

Gaining the right mindset together with a 'step-by-step' design process will (with hard work) create the foundations for a new enterprise.

One essential part of the learning in the programme…

Hi Stefano - it was great to meet you and some of the teaching team in The Third Space. I'm very excited about the course! I know that you will probably have students from all stages of social entrepreneurship. Would you be able to discuss how myself (or others) could individually work on developing a new social enterprise from scratch, as part of our learning? Thanks, Aisling.
